Shea Butter
Shea butter comes from the nut of the African Shea Tree and is considered one of the best skin care ingredients in the world. It is an anti-oxidant; in addition to being protective and hydrating. It contains Vitamins A, E and F. Vitamins A and E help maintain the skin and keep it clear and healthy. They are especially helpful for sun damaged skin and for preventing premature wrinkles and facial lines. Vitamin F acts as a skin protector and rejuvenator. Cocoa butter is the creamy, rich fat obtained from the seeds of the cocoa plant. A major ingredient in chocolate, which accounts for its rich candy bar aroma. Cocoa butter is solid at room temperature, and is wonderful in any skin care product. Cocoa Butter contains natural antioxidants. It is naturally rich in vitamin E as well as a number of other vitamins and minerals. It contains about 5 IU of Vitamin E per ounce. Vitamin E helps to soothe, hydrate, and balance the skin.

Jojoba Oil is cold pressed from the nuts of the jojoba tree. Jojoba resembles human sebum – the natural coating our body produces to protect the skin and keep it supple. Our skin loses sebum with age, sun, wind, cold and the environment. Jojoba adds a protective conditioner to make up for these depleting factors. The oil, obtained from the nuts of the Macadamia Tree, contains a high concentration of Palmitoleic acid and is very similar to mink oil and the sebum of human skin. No other known plant has a similar composition. Because of its high level of Palmitoleic acid it prevents deterioration of the cell membrane.
